    There are many omens connected with the weather, a lot of those signs are still looked up to in this locality
    The soot falling is a sign of rain, blue blazes it the fire also signifies rain, the cat with his back to the fire tells us the rain is at hand, the floor weeps when rain is coming, the hens, ducks and geese pick their feathers when rain is near, the cows lie chewing the cud for the most of the day when a change is coming,
    At the approach of frost, the smoke is seen ascending straight from the chimney, the sky is usually clear and right with stars sparkling at night also the smoke comes out around the
