    They put barley into a bag
    And threw him into a well
    And left him there for forty eight hours
    Till his belly began to swell
    CH. As before
    They took barley up again
    And dried him in a kiln
    And what was worse and ten times worse,
    They ground him in a mill.
    Ch. As before

    TOAST
    I wish thee health
    I wish thee wealth
    I wish thee golden store
    And after death I wish thee Heaven
    And who could wish thee more.

    TOAST - a beggar man drinking a pint.
    "Here's to it
    And 'tis you that do it
    And if you don't do it, when you go to it
    That you may never go to it again
    Here's up with it, in with it, down with it
    And here's a toast to ye all"
