“In my native parish....”
In my native parish (Ola parish Co Waterford) there lived a simpleton nicknamed "An O Ruictín". He was in the habit of bringing his dog to mass and dog used to bark sometimes during the sermon. The priest resented this, and one day as he was entering the church to say mass he kicked the dog and killed him. An onlooker remarked - "Ní bár gan ragareth a fnair madra an O Ruictín"- Informant
