The townsland can boast of many small streams. But it has only one fairly large river which flows at the end of it. Its name is Achnaglen [?] There was a man drowned in the river years ago. He was a blind man and a part of the bridge was broken down and he fell into the river it was morning when he was found. There is a mark on the bridge at present time.
There are five old people living in the townsland over seventy. They do not know Irish there was no Irish taught when they were going to school.- Faisnéiseoir
