    a large stone popularly known as The Druids' Altar.
    Adjacent to this place is what appears to be an old burial ground.
    Some of the stones are vertical whilst others of a larger size are horizontal. Tradition says there are Druids buried there.
    The main road leading from Clonoulty Village to Thurles is supposed to run through the burial ground and that underneath the road there are bodies interred.
    These stones are situtated on Edmond Ryan's land _ a holding which he received from the I.L.C on the Murphy Estate.
