Having reached Carnacalla (parish of Kilrush) on the opposite shore in consequence of this manifestation from God he prostrated himself and vowed to consecrate his life to Him. Senan accordingly almost immediately placed himself under the guidance of a Cork monk named Castidian, who, at that time resided some place between the Ferry and Loop Head.
St Senan visited many places throughout Ireland such as Milmanagh (Church of the Monks) in Ossory; Enniscorthy County Wexford and many other places where Churches were founded and dedicated to him. He also visited Rome to see the reigning Pope at the time and to receive his blessing.
