Vandeleur the Tyrant it is quickly he ran,
When he introduced to West Clare his "Battering Ram".
To drive from their holdings the poor tenants there,
The rack-rented men in the County of Clare.
    III
The first house he came to he acted no man,
He opened his doors for "the Battering Ram."
His door he could close and maintain "the Plan"
And defy all the blows of the "Battering Ram."
    IV
The next house he came to was Clearys Abú,
Who showed to the Saxon what the Irish could do.
He closed up his door and defended "The Plan",
And defied all the blows of the "Battering Ram."
    V
Then Hurrah for John Dillon & long may he reign,
Who brought to this country "The Plan of Campaign."
We have the League at our backs so we dont give a d---
For Vandeleur the Tyrant was forced home with his "Ram".
