When the wind is blowing from the North they say it is the sign of frost.
The wind from the North-west is a sign of hailstone. When the wind blows from the east we get fine weather. When the swallows fly low it is the sign of rain or bad weather.
The curlews make great noise whistling when rain is coming. The sun is very clear and red in the morning when rising and in the evening when setting when very fine weather is coming.
There is a part of the sea to the North-West of us called Mal Bay and it makes great noise when rain is near.- Collector
