With rosy cheeks ,with rosy cheeks,
A nice young man with rosy cheeks
    if you get up today.
Betsy. Oh!Yes mother ,I will get up,
I will get up, I will get up,
Oh! yes mother i will get up,
    I will get up today.
Some children have a slightly different rendering of the verses as follows.
Mother : Lazy Betsy will you get up,
Will you, will you, will you get up ? Will you get up today?
Betsy No mother I won't get up,
    I won't i won't ,I wont get up today.
The slight difference is sufficiently noticed in these two verses as there is no need to repeat the whole rhyme.
