  1. There is an old superstition in the country, that people when removing into new houses should not do so except on a Friday. If the weather is rainy on that day the Sunday following is supposed to be wet.
    When men want to begin any special work, such as building a house, they do not like to do so on a Monday. A lot of people have great belief in Wednesday been a good day and Saturday a bad day for getting married. People say if you are sick, it is not good to be improved on Saturday. A certain cure for chin-cough is prescribed on three Saturdays.
