- (continued from previous page)known as "Straw Boys". These were the uninvited neighbours and they got their name from the Straw clothes they wore. First they got some sheaves of straw and of those they made their hats. They then found some more and made skirts for themselves. These were unwelcome at the wedding but just the same they found some partners and danced a full set through and then they went off.On that night all kinds of food and drink were served, and the feasting lasted until day-break. Then all went home after wishing joy and happiness to the newly married couple.
