live on cabbage and on rabbit's blood. They are very useful animals .They kill rats and rabbits and are therefore liked by everybody. The weasel never likes to be harmed in any way and nobody wishes to have anything to do with those because their spittle is supposed to be poisonous.
One day a farmer and his son found a weasel's nest containing three young ones ,near where they worked. They carried one away a little
distance but took it back again. That day about twelve o'clock the old weasel came back and went to where the workers had left their dinner and spat into a tin-can of milk. When later she discovered her little one alive the weasel returned and overturned the can ,spilling all the milk .Neither of them had anything to do with the weasel afterwards.
The ferret is a small animal like the weasel. he kills rats and rabbits and lives on milk. The milk which he leaves after feeding is supposed to contain a cure for chin-cough .
