- Once a man dreamed that there was gold buried under a flat stone in Quinn Abbey. He told some men near him about it and they went to dig for the gold. When they dug down and came to the flat stone they went to take it up and a monk appeared reading a book. The men went away home. It was the monk who buried the money and the gold there. The men were nearly three weeks in bed with the fright they got when they saw the monk.
