    there should be gold hidden there. Just as he was half way he got a slap in his jaw and it swelled up and it never went down until he died a few months after.
    There is a fort in Dromcavan and if any one passes near it at night they hear sorrowful music and they also see lights.
    There is a fort in Dysart and a man went out one day to cut the hay that was growing on it. He had it saved and trammed and one morning he brought a load of it out to four cows and when they had it eaten they fell down and died. He also gave it to a horse and it died.

  2. At the end of Rath parish in Rathflynn there is a fort. It is a circle of earth with white thorn bushes all round it. It is not known who made it. Lights used be seen around it several nights but other nights it was music that used be heard there. There is a house built by the side of it and some times the fairies used annoy the people of the house. When the man of the house went to the stable for the horses she was hardly
