  2. There is a Cathair in the land of Patrick Whelan Lemeneigh. It is said there is an old woman living in it. She comes out once a year, and takes a dinner under a big ash tree.

  3. In Cahermacon there is an old Cathair in which a crock of gold hidden. It is said there is a bull minding it. One night a man was coming home from a dance, and he came through the Cathair. As he came through it he heard horses galloping. He then heard the cock crowing, and the horses disappeared. There is also one in Roughan in view of the one in Cahermacon. In this Cathair there is a deep hole.
