    The widow sent her two eldest sons to Ennistymon and she went with the youngest to Kilfenora. The two eldest were so hungry that they died on the road at Caheramore.
    Murty Culleeny, who through bribes had become rich, thought to go to America, but he got drowned on his way. Ned Blood was reduced to poverty. After a while the potatoes grew again as free potato seeds were sent around the country. When the country improved the widow and her son went back again to their farm.
