In the present lot and station of this nation at large.
A damsel I saw seated on a neat bed of roses
And she distinctly condoling the approach of her years,
Her forehead smooth and high which enticed my whole reasons,
Her eyes like the rays that bright Phoebus affords,
Her cheeks were so delightful they deprived me of speaking,
Her lips were as neat as the fair spreading rose,
Her amber locks lay hanging down from her fair face to the ground,
Which would entice a monarch's crown so neatly exposed.
Her face as if painted by nature such beauty yields
Which left my whole secrets quite naked and exposed
To testify my ignorance what happy blast had favoured
