- St. Brican was a noted Saint who lived in the parish of Kilmurry Ibrickane some years ago and hence the parish derived its name from Brican.
No country can claim his birth but it is supposed that he built a church in Kilmurry and christened it St. Mary's Church.
The ruins of this church are yet to be seen and inside them are numerous graves.
No-body knows a prayer to St. Brican or any miracle that he worked.
