- The number of meals eaten by the people every day long ago was three in Summer time and two in Winter time. The old people in this district had no special names for the meals only the breakfast dinner and supper.
They used eat the breakfast about nine o'clock in the morning, the dinner at three o'clock and the supper at nine o'clock and often times at ten at night.
It was customary for the people to get up early in the mornings and do a couple of hours work before the first meal.
