    the Diocese of Killaloe, was going to Rome to be consecrated he came to St. Brican to get his blessing and advice. In those days voyages were very dangerous as there were no ships only sailing boats.
    St. Brican accompanied St. Flannan to the sea at Clohaninchy and there a stone boat appeared on the surface of the sea. It is said that it is in that boat St. Flannan made the journey to Rome.
