  1. Local Marriage Customs
    Marriages often take place during Shrove. Any one that gets married in the harvest is considered unlucky. What is bound in the harvest is loosed in the Spring.
    Matches are made at all times in this district. If a rich farmer's daughter is old enough to get married, and if another rich farmer had a son an old man would make the match.
