Next day they went with some of the neighbours to where the gold was hidden and they began to dig for the gold. The fairy dog came growling and barking trying not to leave them get the gold but the people shook holy water around and they made the sign of the Cross with the Crucifix, and the dog began to disappear. They got the gold and they carried it home.
