  1. people say that there was a hedge school on the Marsh. They say that it was a man named Sands that held it last. It is supposed to be in a lonely corner. There is no account of the Sands now. I do not know what they used to write on or how many were at it. These two stories were obtained by Michael Finnegan from Mr. Francis Roddy, Bellurgan Point, Dundalk.
