An old man told me the following story:-
"One day St. Patrick came to the hill of Tara and lit a fire. The King's soldiers went out to find him, but they did not succeed in finding him. Others tried to put out his fire but did not manage it. It happened that that night Patrick got into the midst of the soldiers who tried to kill him, but darkness came and so the soldiers could not see him. They killed one another while Patrick escaped.
