Lady well is situated in the centre of a field about a quarter of a mile south of Dundalk.Many stories are told about this well.
The field in which the well was,was owned by a minister.He shut the well so that nobody would be trespassing on his field,but the following morning the well had sprung up in the next field.It was situated on the top of a hill and during the night it moved to the bottom of the hill.When the people saw it next morning, there was a shrine miraculously built over it.The neighbourhood decorated(continues on next page)- Collector
