  1. Once a man was coming home on his ceilidhe and it was mid-night and he could not get to the end of the field. He was going around the field and suddenly he heard a noise and it was fairies and they were cutting corn. The fairies asked (them) him to help them and the man helped them. They were cutting with scythes and they gave him a scythe to cut with it. They started to cut and the fairies were laughing. Then they said they would stop working and so they did. Then the man went his way
