- Hallow Eve is kept on the last night of October. Many games and tricks are played by the people on that night.
In our house we play games. We hang an apple from the ceiling and we try to catch it in our mouths we also put money in a tub of water, and we melt lead and see what it forms.
Long ago the people would light fires, and burn the hedges on the farmers, and they would pull gates off the hinges, and throw them out in the fields.
They used to be afraid to go out after sunset on that night for fear of the fairies(continues on next page)- Collector
