IV. - Fire and Chimney
1. When a blue flame appears in the fire it is a sign of a coming storm.
2. If the fire blazes brightly it means that there is going to be frost.
3. When the smoke from a chimney goes straight up there is approaching good weather.
4. When the smoke goes down towards the ground it is going to rain.
5. When the flames from the fire go down under the grate it is a sure sign of approaching storm.
