    2. - When there is a fog on the river it is a sign of good weather.
    3. - When the floors and walls are damp it is a sign of rain.
    4. - The railway line lies two miles west of us and when the train can be heard easily it is a sure sign of rain.
    5. - When dressers and chairs make creaking noise it is a sign of coming rain.
    6. - People that are complaining from Rheumatism can tell when there is going to be rain because they feel the Rheumatism most when rain is approaching.
    7. - When there is a rope tied from pole to pole it can tell a person what kind of weather is at hand, when the rope is hanging loose it is the sign of good weather but when it is tight it is the sign of rain.
    8. - When floods go down quickly, it is looked upon as the sign of more rain.
