- (continued from previous page)Doctor's in CB.Ham on one occassion. The Doctor and his wife were out no one was inside but the maid. She said she would let Paddy wait for his penny. Paddy after knocking a few times said, What do you mean? Do you think I hae nothing to do but wait for you here all day.
Another story about him was that he missed his usual visit one week at the stationmaster's (Mr Hall, C.B.Ham). Mr Hall came out and gave him a penny. He looked at the penny and said :- I think you're forgetting that I didn't call last week - 30th June 1938
