  1. Friday is the lucky day to begin any wook in Co. Louth. Farmers - wont begin to reap their corn till Friday, even it it is ripe quite early in the week- In the same way they begin to sow on Friday. And in the winter they tie on their cattle for stall feeding - on Friday.
    Saturday very unlucky day to remove from one residence to another.
    "Saturday's flitting a short sitting."
    After a long illness it is considered unlucky to sit up fo the first time on Saturday.
    Many farmers say that cabbage seed shuld be sown, only when the moon is full.
