- Football MatchesAbout thirty years ago there was a game of football played at Newtown. The teams playing were the Newtown Blues and the Tragdas.
At that time there were twenty-one men on either sides. The Blues were a very fine team, they wore blue jerseys with a white shamrock on their breasts.
A Mr. Patrick Duff was refferee and everyone said that he gave fair play.
