- There was once a man whose name was Robert King. He was a market man and employed in Mr Cowley's Public House.
One night as he was coming home from Dublin he had groceries and other things for the shop.
When the came to Blackbull he fell off the dray and the wheel of it ran over his chest and his waist. He was removed home where he died later.
He left five children after him and his wife to whom the neighbours were very good.
Mr J. McGuinness made a collection on which he £20. He also got her eldest son on the railway where he was working himself.- Collector
