    all march with guns on their shoulders. It was never known how they got into the vault. They disappear into the ground in half a second. The name of the townland is Dalystown.
    It is not circular, nor the track of the fort cannot be seen. In those lonely places where there was often found a round ring of green grass, greener than the rest of the grass, was called "The Fairies Ring". Fairy people are supposed to live in another vault which runs to the "Hill of Ward" near Athboy. Music was heard very late at night there.
    In this locality there are many "Fairy Forts" which are nearly always called "ratheen" There is a ratheen in Cloncone and two strange men from Longford dreamt three nights of the gold hidden in it. In their dream when they
