    The tailor uses needles, a thimble, cotton scissors, and a sewing machine, an inch-tape, and a yard-stick. There are flannelates flannelette, woollen, and cotton material used.
    Shirts used to(mo) be made in the homes, but they are made in the factories now. On the cold (meanly) winter nights people nearly always spend their time knitting socks, and stockings.
