On Birdeog the people used to get twelve rushes peel them and stick them into a cow-dung and light them.
The whole family would then kneel around them and recite the rosary.
By doing this the people believed they would have luck all the year round. - A legend
It is the belief old people that when they would bury treasure they should bury a sow with young pigs. They are supposed to guard.- Informant
