A great battle was fought near Earls Mill in Owen Reo O' Neills time.
Lord Moore's bush is a field in Rathkeenan, Ballivor, where General Moore was shot. He was one of Cromwells officers.
There is a mass path between Curramore and Kildalkey. A herd one day would not let the people cross the field so when they were coming home he was dead. No one could lift him he was so heavy.
