  1. A Game of Cards.
A game of cards was about to commence in a house in Moynalty District the prize being a celebrated local beauty when a stranger mounted on a horse ( a huge black horse) reined in at the doorway + asked that his animal be taken care of. This was done + the game commenced the stranger taking a hand.
The final stages of the game were reached + the stranger was winning + this time held the winning hand. The man with the lead i.e. the man who had the lead dropped a card on stooping to pick it up noticed that the stranger had a cloven foot. The stranger was immediately ejected.
His presence was as local tradition tells us due to the fact the cards were not cut in the games which took place the previous night
