    Ask a person to buy the wart, if he buys it he must say he will give money for it, then the wart will go.
    Sty
    Get nine gooseberry thorns and point them into the eye for nine mornings and it will be cured.
    Sore eye
    If there is anything in the eye such as a grain of oats. There is a man called Pat Mooney in Ballinlough who has a prayer to cure it.
    Mumps
    Bring whoever has the mumps to the pig-sty saying some special words and the person will be cured.
    A cold
    Wash the feet in hot water in which there is plenty of mustard dissolved. Another person must put in the mustard.
    Get washing soda and break it into a fine powder. Then smell it like snuff. It will cure the cold.
    Boil garlic in milk, strain it and drink it.
    Sore eye
    Dissolve a pinch of alum in a spoonful of
