    These are the ingredients, that were put into the Boxty Bread.
    Boxty Bread
    Get four or six potatoes, then get a grater and grate the raw potatoes and squeeze in cloth till dry. Put some boiled potatoes through a sieve, and mix along with the grated potatoes, add a little salt. mix all together into a cake, with flour.
    Long ago when the people had no mills, like we have now, they used to grind their corn with querns. They did not know what mills were.
    In this district long ago, the bread they used was Wheaten Bread, and Shrawud Bread. Shrawud Bread was a kind of unleavened Bread.
    The people in Olden times, used to grow their own corn, from which they made their own bread and ground it.
