Here is a game played on Halloween: Three saucers are put on the table. A ring on one, water on another and a thimble on another. Then one person is blindfolded and he goes up to the table and puts his hand on one of the saucers, if he touches the saucer with the ring on it he will be married; the one with the water he will go over the sea; and the one with the thimble he will never be married.
On Halloween some people cut yarrow and say,Good morrow fair yarrow,
Good morrow to thee,
Tell me before tomorrow,
Who my true love will be.Then they would put the yarrow in their right stocking and put it under their pillow and dream on it.- Collector
