- Not very far from where I live a house was burned in the year 1921. It belonged to a man named Hugh Mc Enroe of Horath. The fire occurred at night. When the family went to bed they forgot to quench the candle. When the candle burned down there were clothes beside it and they caught fire. They did not smell the clothes burning until the floor and beds caught fire and they themselves were nearly burned to death when suddenly Peter awoke and shouted at the rest of the Mc Enroes. When they arose they could not find their clothes and they had to run for their lives.
They could not save anything in the house. Hugh Mc Enroe himself was just after selling many cattle the day before and he had the money left by to go to the bank with it and it was burned also. Many gold sovereigns were burned which Eugene had hid on the loft. When the(continues on next page)- Collector
