Doctors differ and patients die - There is a well in Carlanstown called St. Patricks well. Once upon a time it was said that St. Patrick wass passing through Carlanstown and was looking for a drink. He went down to this little stream and suddenly he blessed it. Ever after it is called St. Patrick.
