I give my soul to God for ever
The above prayer is also said at night.
The following is a prayer for the toothache:-
As Saint Peter sat on a marble stone
Our Saviour came to him and he alone,
"O Peter Peter why dost thou ache?"
"O Lord or master it is the toothache"
Rise up Peter and do not ache
And whoever keeps those words in memory of me shall never be troubled with the toothache.
May God give us the light of Heaven.
This prayer is to be said when you are lighting the lamp
The following is a prayer to be said when you are going on a journey:-
I.NRI. Jesus of Nazarath King of the Jews, save me from a sudden and unprovided death.
As I lie on my bed to sleep
