  1. Hatching Eggs told by Miss Annie Murray age 60, Cormeen to Marie Finnegan Cormeen.
    Long ago people had different methods and beliefs in hatching eggs.
    Some believed it was lucky to get the setting of eggs from your neighbour. A setting contained 13 eggs because an odd number was lucky.
    They thought that an egg with a point or a big end was not good for hatching. Fairly small eggs were luckier.
    They got a deep base sandpit a little hay in it because if there were to much hay the hen would bury the eggs in it. They then put in the eggs and threw some
