    Long ago the people used to make oaten bread and beer bread. The oaten bread was made on the plain ground oaten meal mixed with lukewarm water. It was baked before the fire on a loop on its edge. When one side was baked it was turned to let the other side bake also. Long ago when people would be going to America they would bring oaten
