- The following story was told to me by my father as we were all sitting by the fire one night.
There is a field on which our house is built. It is called Mammie's field. Before my father got it, it was owned by a man named Mammie. There was a rath in which fairies lived in the field. They used to come into house and borrow any things they wanted.(continues on next page)- Collector
