    bell was stolen to Westmeath. It came back in the air and alighted in Tighe’s field and formed the well. This well is called St. Hugh’s well.
    The other well in Ballinacree is called St. Patrick’s well. There are bushes at the well and people leave strings and ribbons on them.
    There is a well in Ballymacad and it cures a headache.
    There is a well on the top of the white hill which is a hill on Mullagh Mountain. It is said that water from it cures the toothache. There is
