- One day for education, to elevate my soul,
I gave up my occupation and tooke a little stroll.
And when about a mile or so I got a pleasant thrill.
I saw a little fairy on the top of Mullagh Hill.He was the smallest fellow that ever I had seen,
His trousers were quite yellow and his coat of emerald green.
He was sitting on a mushroom, on that evening calm.
Making a tiny pair of shoes on top of Mullagh Hill.He says, I have no money, you're a liar sir, says I
And if you do not part with it your life I will destroy.
Come, tell me, where's the crock of gold, don't lie as you'll kill
For I know its hidden somewhere on top of Mullagh Hill.There's a mad bull coming towards us, he will kill us both I fear.
Exclaimed the artful fairy, but I know he'd disappear.
If ever I took my eyes of him, so at him I looked still
And said, I'll kill you first, mylad, just now on Mullagh Hill.I placed my knife against his heart and said your lief now yield(continues on next page)- Collector
