    said he had and then they went to play a game on a stone. They played a few games until a card fell out of the fellow's hand down on the ground.
    He stooped down to pick it up, and he saw the cloven foot and then he knew that he was playing with the devil.
    After a while he said that he was going home. he was not gone far until he met a funeral, and it was a rule at that time to catch hold of the corpse. As soon as he did this the corpse fell to the ground and a lovely girl walked from it and told him she would be his wife. He brought her home to his mother and at the same time this girl was supposed to be waking at her own house
